Mentorship
The Mentorship program is designed to help all members of ASCE get to know each other better. It encourages new and young members of ASCE to become more involved, and helps make the large community at UCLA feel smaller. Together, all members can help each other learn and grow and become part of the greater ASCE community.
At the beginning of every year, all ASCE members are paired up with a mentor or mentee(s) and placed into one of the four families. Families participate in friendly competitions with other families, provide academic support, and just have a lot of fun together!
Mentorship holds a number of social and professional development events each quarter. These events include fun excursions, like a trip to Sky High Trampoline Park or a hike at Griffith Park, and academic help in the form of class planning workshops and weekly study sessions. Plus, there are traditional annual events such as Pumpkin Carving Social, Gingerbread House Social, Big Bear ski trip, and the end-of-the-year beach bonfire. These events ensure that our members maintain an optimal balance of academic and social life, all while making lasting friendships with each other.
